Why Tipperoo is ad-free — and why the market leader can’t follow

Tipperoowe build the ad-free prediction game and write down why.

“Ad-free” is on a lot of landing pages. For us it’s not a marketing line but a structural decision — and the numbers explain it.

Kicktipp just had its best year yet. ZDFheute profiled the company in June 2026: more than 6.5 million registered users during the 2026 World Cup, revenue of around one million euros in an average year, pre-tax profit around €500,000 — earned by two people. That is an impressively lean, successful business, and the app behind it is popular for good reason. But: according to ZDFheute, around two thirds of that revenue comes from advertising. Going fully ad-free would mean giving up roughly two thirds of its income — no rational business does that voluntarily.

That is exactly why we can be ad-free: we never built that revenue stream, so we never have to defend it. We’ll earn later from an optional season pass and from company rounds — not from ads above your table. The market leader sees the model but can’t follow it without hurting itself.

For you, that simply means: no ads above the results, for everyone, without a subscription. Ever.
