What carries over — and what honestly can't
What we carry over
Kicktipp's points system, level by level: points for exact result, goal difference and tendency, plus the dedicated draw level — a predicted draw has no goal-difference level, exactly as on Kicktipp. In knockout games you evaluate after 90 minutes or after extra time and penalties, your choice. Plus your submission cutoff before kickoff.
You set your own point values — exact result, goal difference, tendency — or you start from our Kicktipp template and adjust it. Set up in about 10 minutes, with your Kicktipp rules page in a second tab.
Pinned down: every one of those rules is held in place by a reference test suite — the same test cases run against the scoring engine and against the app. If either side drifts, the code doesn't ship. How we checked, and where our check ends, is right below.
What we honestly can't do — and nobody can
Kicktipp has no export interface. Members, past tips, points, and all-time tables can't be transferred anywhere. That's why we recommend switching at the start of a season: everyone starts at 0 — just like every new season. You can record your past champions in our Hall of Fame, and your old round stays viewable on Kicktipp.
Not there yet
Different points per outcome. On Kicktipp, home wins, draws and away wins can each be worth a different number of points — as in the “9er” rule, where draws and away wins pay more. Our scoring engine handles that; the input for it isn't built yet. It's on our roadmap, and we'll tell you when it lands. Today you set your three point values, and they apply to every outcome — the way Kicktipp's standard points rule works. The quota rule (points based on your group's tipping behaviour) sits under “Planned” on our roadmap. If your group plays with it, we'll let you know as soon as it lands. Bonus questions (champion, relegation & co. with their own points and deadlines) are in the works — whether they make the season start or follow shortly after, we'll say so honestly right here. New with us if you want it: a joker (×2, once per matchday) — off by default.
How we check — and where our check ends
The honest part first: Kicktipp has no single points rule — every round configures its own values. A promise of sameness would have nothing to attach to. We'd rather tell you exactly what we rebuilt: Kicktipp's rule system — the three hit levels, the dedicated draw level, the 90-minute or after-extra-time/penalties evaluation. Every one of those rules is held in place by a reference test suite that checks the scoring engine and the app against the same cases.
And we check against Kicktipp's published rules, not against Kicktipp's servers. That is the honest frame of our check. It is exactly why we went and read every rule instead of guessing.
One example where that caught us out. On penalty shootouts we had assumed the winner gets credited one goal: a 2:2 after extra time would have come out as 3:2 on Tipperoo. Kicktipp's own help page carries the worked example: Portugal–England, Euro 2004 — 2:2 after extra time, 6:5 on penalties, recorded as 8:7. Every goal counts, including the ones from the shootout. We were wrong. We changed the engine — before a single match had been scored. You can read the example on Kicktipp yourself.
What do I tell my group?
"Why switch at all?"

"Do we lose our points and history?"
A season start resets everyone to 0 anyway. Your old round stays viewable on Kicktipp, and we keep your past champions in the Hall of Fame.
"What about the less tech-savvy players?"
Joining takes a minute via a link — no account needed to tip, no app store, no install.
"And what about our data?"
Your data is yours — full GDPR access and hand-over on request, clean account deletion anytime. And our business model is a season pass — no ads we'd need to sell.
